Sale Conditions

General - Applied to All Products

  1. All orders must be approved by head office and the manufacturer.
  2. Lifts are for home use only in single family dwellings.
  3. Customer is responsible for complying with local code and safety requirements.
  4. Prices subject to change without notice.
  5. We are not responsible for manufacturer delays.
  6. Delivery costs subject to change without notice.
  7. Stair lifts and dumbwaiters are custom orders and cancellations are not permitted.
  8. Any external evidence of loss or damage must be noted on the freight bill, express receipt or delivery receipt and signed by the carrier's agent. Failure to adequately describe such external evidence of loss or damage may result in the carrier refusing to honor a damage claim. The form required to file such a claim will be supplied by the carrier.
  9. Any damaged or missing parts must be reported in writing within 48 hours of acceptance of delivery.
  10. Service and follow up is the responsibility of the purchaser.
  11. Delivery prices are to the continental USA. Call for pricing to Hawaii and Alaska if not noted on order form.
  12. REFUSED SHIPMENT/UNDELIVERABLE PACKAGE
    If you refuse a package upon arrival or your package is undeliverable due to customer error, we must charge your card for the shipping cost and shipper fee caused by your decision. This policy applies even if your order was originally sent to you via FREE shipping.

Specific Product Sale Conditions

Dumbwaiter

  1. Cab comes with bi-parting doors. You will have to arrange for the cabinet doors, electrical hook up and shaft to be done by others and is not included with the dumbwaiter.
  2. Dumbwaiters are shipped direct from Summit Lifts in Missouri.
  3. Dumbwaiter does not go into production until customer returns signed and approved drawings.
  4. Lead time is currently 6-7 weeks from date of receipt of signed drawings from customer.
  5. No cancellation of order permitted once drawings signed by customer.
  6. If drawings are not returned signed within 30 days then order is automatically cancelled and a administration fee of $100 applies.

Stair Lift

  1. Stair lifts shipped direct from Summit Lifts in Missouri within 7-10 business days after receipt of order.
  2. Stair lift orders require the rail to be cut for your stairs so all orders are custom and cannot be cancelled.
  3. Purchaser confirms that stair lift user can safely transfer themselves to the seat of a normal chair, bend their knees to 90 degrees, the stairs are at least 32" wide and the lift user is not over 300 lbs.
  4. Allow 7-10 business days for delivery.
  5. All Stairlifts are shipped via Federal Express, UPS or similar ground service. They arrive freight prepaid by us. Most units will arrive within seven (7) business days after the order is submitted.

Walk In Bath Tub

  1. Customer must adhere with local building codes and regulations.
  2. Electrical hook up to be done by your electrician.
  3. Plumbing to be done by your plumber.
  4. Allow 2-4 weeks for delivery.

Ceiling Lifts

  1. No cancellation of order permitted by customer.
  2. Customer must adhere with local building codes and regulations.
  3. Allow 2-3 weeks for delivery.
